Otherness is the fifth studio album by Canadian post-hardcore band Alexisonfire. This hard hitter of an album was released in 2022, thirteen years after the release of their last full-length album Old Crows/Young Cardinals. It is also the band’s first album since reuniting in 2015.

This album fuses post-punk elements and a burning behemoth of raging psychedelia throughout its 50-minute run time. The guys never sacrificed the punk soul summoned in beat-up vans and basement shows. Blending their classic sound with new and forward-thinking textures, they produced Otherness themselves.

It’s hard to overstate the influence Alexisonfire had in post-hardcore through the mid-2000s, their combination of singing and screaming setting the blueprint for many artists to come, celebrate their return by adding this awesome record to your collection today!
