Asgeir Trausti – Bury the Moon LP Vinyl Record

Icelandic visionary Asgeir Trausti’s 2020 release “Bury The Moon” was prompted by a stay in a remote Icelandic summerhouse – just Asgeir, his equipment and a broken heart. From which he returned with a series of acoustic sketches, which he then set out to turn into sparse, atmospheric songs with the aid of some key lyrical collaborators – including his father, a noted Icelandic poet. 

The artists time spent writing alone with his guitar, piano and endless reflections on love and loss results in a self-contained record that flows beautifully. Ásgeir imparts each song with unique qualities, cementing his confident approach to quiet, intelligently crafted and beautifully executed indie folk.
