English electronic music duo Autechre, formed in 1987 by Rob Brown and Sean Booth are considered to be pioneers of the Electronic genre. Generally considered to be IDM in style, their music has incorporated a variety of genres and styles ranging from techno and hip hop to ambient, experimental electro, and musique concrète. Autechre use many different digital and analog synthesizers, samplers, and drum machines in their production, giving them an expansive range of sonic ability.

After a decade of composing increasingly difficult music, “Sign” offers a reprieve. An accessible release and an engaging listen: abstract, lean, intermittently sedate and quite pretty. These emotional compositions offer a pleasant surprise for fans. Maintaining their uneasy, dystopian themes, this album will have you entranced in awe of the beautiful, electronic soundscapes.
