Hawkman is a legendary hero who first appeared in 1940, created by Gardner Fox and Dennis Neville, and he has a rich history within the DC multiverse. His character has various origins, including being the ancient Egyptian prince Khufu, the archaeologist Carter Hall, the Thanagarian policeman Katar Hol, and even the avatar of the Hawk God from Thanagar. Regardless of his form, he has consistently stood for justice, often teaming up with his beloved partner, Hawkwoman, as the Winged Champions. Combining medieval weaponry with advanced technology, he is a key member of teams like the Justice League and the Justice Society. In the Golden Age stories, Hawkman, as Carter Hall, had the unique ability to communicate with birds and possessed exceptional long-distance vision, similar to that of hawks. He wears a belt made of nth metal that lightens the weight of himself and any objects he carries, enhancing his durability. His wings, when paired with the belt, allow him to fly and offer additional protection.
