“Fatalism” is Polaris’s poignant musical exploration, expanding on the angst and catharsis of their ARIA Award-nominated 2020 release, “The Death of Me.” With a broader thematic gaze and heavier sonic terrain, the album mirrors the Sydney five-piece’s signature blend of melodic metalcore, post-rock, and electronic elements. 

Recorded in Melbourne in 2022, the album, produced by Lance Prenc and featuring vocals recorded by Alpha Wolf’s Scottie Simpson, serves as a final tribute to lead guitarist Ryan Siew, who tragically passed away on June 19, 2023.
