Blood Red River is a retrospective collection from grunge rock pioneers, the Scientists. While grunge is often associated with the ’90s Seattle scene, some believe its roots trace back to the Scientists’ early ’80s work in Perth and Sydney, Australia. 

This release includes the original six-song EP from 1983, along with additional tracks from various sessions, including the Brussels-recorded Demolition Derby. Featuring essential tracks like “Swampland” and “We Had Love,” Blood Red River is a perfect introduction to the dark, raw sound that made the Scientists influential in the alternative rock landscape.
